Project #5 Anti-Surveillance Tool

Debate
Design Process
I found this assignment related to one of the artists that I follow and his works was my inspiration during the design processes. Dave Danzara, whose influences can be found in pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, film and music. Graphic design and digital collage art have become his passion and signature. Here is the link of his website: https://davedanzara.wixsite.com/lostintimedesigns I have attache two of the Dave's works here too. In addition, America’s election and recent debate between Trump and Biden and the political-social impacts of their words on the people across the world is the thing that I have been thinking about recently. So, by having this context in the background and Dave’s works in my mind, I started my sketch with drawing linear grid and circle loops to have a different pattern that helps to make an optical illusion. When you press your mouse, linear grid overlay is moved across the interlaced image, the underneath image seems to be animated.
Reflection
The basic choice of what to design is what I have referred to in the design process. The design addresses the recent debate and is for the world audiences who tuned in for the chaotic event. The loops and nested loops that I have used in the sketch, helped me to draw multiple patterns and textures which helped me to make a visual illusion and anaglyph illusion underlay of that. Also, twiddling with the numbers inside the loop was an interesting experience which allowed me to expand my ideas, thinking forward and develop the design.
